Where are we now and where are we headed.
On 4 April 2008, the Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations, the Hon Julia Gillard MP, announced a national review into model Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Laws. This review is the next stage in the intended move to a nationally consistent system of occupational health and safety laws in Australia.
Charles Cameron , Stratecom’s Managing Director joined Cameron Recruitment to consider where OHS law is in New South Wales today, given the stalling of the OHS Act Review, and where it may go over coming months and years. Charles considered current areas of focus and related initiatives, as well as analysed the potential impact of a nationally consistent scheme.
